Judy Ann Santos says she won't transfer to GMA-7

Since Angel Locsin's transfer to ABS-CBN from GMA-7, there have been blind item reports of an ABS-CBN actress also wanting to jump fence to the rival network. Especially since Juday has been very visible in GMA-7 shows the past few weeks, promoting the horror film Ouija, produced by the Kapuso Network's film arm, GMA Films, in co-production with Viva Films.

Last Saturday, July 28, entertainment writer Ricky Lo wrote in his column in Philippine STAR that he has received news that Judy Ann Santos is planning to transfer to GMA-7.

"The deal is as good as done," said his source.

In a taped interview with The Buzz yesterday, July 29, Juday denied the report: "Hindi ako puwedeng mag-sign sa GMA-7 because I just renewed my contract with ABS-CBN, same goes with Star Cinema."

Juday went on saying that she is happy being a Kapamilya.

"There's no reason na lumipat ako ng GMA because maganda naman ang treatment sa akin ng ABS and hangga't hindi nila ako binibigyan ng rason para lumipat, walang rason para lumipat ko," she asserted.

The Ysabella star added, "I'm happy with ABS. Bilang artista lang naman, I'm sure may mga offers din na hindi namin puwedeng tanggapin because I am signed under ABS until 2009."

Juday's manager, Alfie Lorenzo, also denied reports of such negotiations.

"End of July mag-e-expire ang contract. May pa lang na-renew na," he explained in a separate interview with the showbiz talk show.

Juday reiterated, "Wala pong lipatan na mangyayari. Masaya ako sa ABS. I'm very happy with the projects they're giving me."
