Iza Calzado May Star In A Hollywood Film

In a Hollywood remake of a Filipino thriller entitled "Sigaw", Iza Calzado is being considered to reprise her role as a battered wife, also to be directed by our own Yam Laranas.

The girlfriend role, originally played by Angel Locsin, will be bigger in the American version. Alenia Warner, a Liverpool native, will play her character who is the daughter of actress Annette Ekblom. The 25-year-old Amelia appeared with Charlize Theron in "Aeon Flux" as Una Flux. Her other screen credits include "Quills" and "Mansfield Park."

Jesse Bradford ("Flags of our Fathers") was announced earlier as the male lead.

Laranas is already in Toronto to do pre-production work. Filming will be done mostly in Toronto. The production will move later to New York to film exterior scenes.
