Pinoy Big Brother: Bea wins Pinoy Big Brother's Season 2

"Thank you – What I can only say is follow your dreams!" A Bicolana has triumphed in the second season of Pinoy Big Brother--Maria "Beatriz" Saw. The announcement was made during PBB 2’s grand finale at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City Saturday.

The 20-year old resident of Muntinlupa won through text voting, getting 1,571,556 votes. Simply known to Pinoys as "Bea" for 126 days, the country was enchanted by her quiet charm and strong character in times of conflict.

The latest of which was when she allied herself with Gianina Maria "Gee-Ann" Abrahan during a spat with Wendy Valdez. The three were caught up in bickering after a face-to-face nomination a couple of weeks before the contests finale, dubbed as the Big Night.

Discussions, heated arguments, and even sleepless nights were among the challenges she had to face for the past two weeks. Despite these, Bea displayed what others cannot do in times of crisis, composure.

When it was time for peace, it was Bea who shouldered the first burden of talking with her adversary. After Kuya ordered the male housemates to tell the girls about settling issue, it was Bea who approached Wendy first

Wendy previously encountered a similar dilemma when she clashed with ‘Italyanang Cabalen’ Maricris Dizon.

This fight was different. Maricris asked Bea repeatedly if she had a crush with ‘Mr. Perfect" Ronel Rapiz. Maricris insisted that Bea liked Nel. The argument turned into a debate, the debate turned into a shouting match.

Bea courageously faced Maricris and told her that she was acting immaturely. The latter lost her cool which caused her to be forcibly evicted from the Big Brother house.

Kuya announced the Italian housemate from Pampanga to leave after she was quoted to have threatened to hurt Bea.

Aside from the squabbles, the public was also able to see the lighter side of Bea. In one episode, Bea jumped up and down the bed after the person whom she loved for as long admitted that he loved her back.

Bea received P1 million in cash, a house and lot, a brand new car, an all-expense paid European package tour, a franchise for a purified water business, kitchen appliances and a supply of a popular tea and health drink

In second place is Michael Richard "Mickey" Perz. Mickey received 1,286,166 votes or 23.32% of the total tally. He will be awarded with an all-expense paid tour of three cities in the United States, plus P500,000 in cash.

The Filipino-Swiss was known as the "Hip-hop" dancing King in Kuya’s House. Mickey was in numerous dance-offs with "Samba dancing diva" Saicy Aguila. Mickey entertained viewers with his skills on the dance floor.

The third big placer was "Hot commercial babe" Wendy Valdez who received 1,209,978 votes or 23.32% of the total votes.

The 4th big winner was Gianina Maria "Gee-Ann" Abrahan. Gee-ann received 1,119,714 votes or 21.58% of the total votes that were cast by fans.

Wendy and Ge-ann will get P300,000 and P200,000, respectively, and package tours of key Asian cities.
