Dayanara has found a new love

Since she broke up with Marc Anthony (now the husband of Jennifer Lopez), by whom she has two children, Dayanara Torres has been linked to only very few guys, one of them Terence Howard who was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar in 2005 for Crash (that year’s Best Picture) and once named one of The 50 Most Beautiful People by People magazine.

When Dayanara was here in November last year to shoot for ads and commercials for The Beverly Hills 6750 Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Institute, she was mum about her love life, past and/or present.

Don’t look now but

Type rest of the post hereaccording to Funfare’s Big Apple correspondent Edmund Silvestre, Dayanara has found a new love. For the benefit of Dayanara’s fans and Funfare readers, Edmund sent me the following story from the web. Read on:

Dayanara Torres is beaming these days. Not only is she starring in the FOX series Watch Over Me, she is in a steady, happy relationship with Prison Break hottie Amaury Nolasco.

In an exclusive interview with People En Español, the actress and former Miss Universe chats about her new ‘friend’ Nolasco, Marc Anthony, and Jennifer Lopez.

Torres, 32, says her friendship with Nolasco goes back a few years, and that they are currently sharing a special moment in their lives. ‘He is a very sweet guy. I’m happy... We get along really, really well. We’re both Puerto Rican and speak the same language,’ says Torres about Nolasco, 36, her date at the recent ALMA Awards, their first public outing as a couple.

The two were last seen together at the premiere of Rush Hour 3. Nolasco also stars in the current smash hit Transformers.

As for Marc Anthony, whom she was married for four years before their divorce in 2004, Torres says the relationship between them “was never bad” and that her priorities remain their two children — Christian, six, and Ryan, four.

In recent paparazzi photos, her children are seen hugging Lopez, 37, who married Anthony four days after his divorce from Torres was final.

“I don’t know why people expect bad things,” says Torres about her feelings toward Lopez.

“For some to go through what I did, it would have been easy perhaps to feel hurt and then try to hurt others in turn and insult them,” she said. “I took another path — the high road.”

Torres insisted that she would never be the one who will ‘talk trash’ because she cares about the ill effect on her kids.

“Never in my life will I be one to talk trash or criticize. I think of my kids,” she said.

Torres married Anthony on May 9, 2000, and they have two sons. There was trouble in the marriage, and the two first separated in summer 2002 reconciling in December 2002 and splitting again in 2003. On June 5, 2004, less than a week after the divorce was finalized in the Dominican Republic, Anthony married Lopez.

Marc and Lopez star in the newly-released film El Cantante.

And here’s another interesting little item, also from Edmund:

Marc Anthony’s wife, Jennifer Lopez, and his ex-wife, Dayanara Torres, appear together on the cover of September’s People en Español — and he’s none too pleased about it. The two Latina lovelies, shown with actress Adamari Torres and singer Lucero, didn’t pose together, and the photo is a composite. But they’re all smiles and certainly look buddy-buddy for the feature on the best-dressed women in Hispanic culture. Our source says, “The current and the ex side by side? Marc’s camp is not happy.” Anthony’s rep didn’t respond, but a People flack said, “Marc has great taste in stylish women.”
