PJ Barua of La Salle Green Archers is mobbed by fangirls?

I don't know if this video is authentic or what, meaning if it's unscripted at all, since I rarely watch basketball. It seems the Green Archer rookie is mobbed by crazed but normal looking fangirls. Here's what Manila Bulletin reported:

A case of nice fans turned naughty?
Green Archer Rookie PJ Barua still could not figure out why he was "attacked" by a group of young and beautiful girls before a grueling hard court action against the Ateneo Blue Eagles at the South gate of the Araneta Coliseum Thursday afternoon.

The 22-year-old Barua was observing an interview of De La Salle University coach Franz Pumaren,

on his way to go to the court when he was mobbed by a group of seven young girls.

The girls reportedly nabbed Barua and tried to jerk him up.

Barua resisted but the girls allegedly kissed him by his face. One of the girls identified only as "Monica," hugged and peppered Barua with wet kisses and tight embraces.

"It was too sudden," said Barua who was interviewed later "I just can’t believe they would be such a thing."

Barua remarked that what happened to him is a similar with the Axe commercial on TV.

"They were good girls turned naughty," Barua, who is across between actors James Blanco and Richard Gomez, said as he wiped the lipstick off his comedy face.

It was only when security was called and after much resistance, that Barua, a native of Guimaras Island in Iloilo, finally was extricate from the fans.

Araneta Center security guards are still looking for the girls who escaped in the confusion.

Doctors who examined the forward cager, said Barua did not sustain any serious physical injuries aside from minor scratches and wet kisses in his face.

"I have no idea why these girls grabbed me. They look nice and so sweet pa naman. I was really surprised," said the former player of University of Iloilo.

Pumaren and the whole DLSU team were equally surprised, yet amused by the kissing incident.

Pumaren said the girls might have been provoked by PJ’s excellent plays and looks. "My players kasi look bagong paligo lagi."

Lemme quote the coach:
Pumaren said the girls might have been provoked by PJ’s excellent plays and looks. "My players kasi look bagong paligo lagi."
Lol, it's kinda funny if it's true.
