John Lapus's false charge: Boy Abunda had affair with his ex

Almost but not quite.

Birthday boy John "Sweet" Lapus—who will turn 34 on July 7—implied that sentiment in connection with the rumor that he had a bitter fallout with talent manager and TV host Boy Abunda because of a guy named Jasper.

This time taking the Showbiz Central hot seat, Sweet was grilled by SC jurors Rufa Mae Quinto and DJ Mo Twister about the issue that had been circulating through the grapevine for quite some time.

The comedian-host gamely narrated what really happened.

"Two years ago, itong boyfriend ko na ‘to, ang pangalan niya ay Jasper. Na-meet ko siya sa Klownz. Naging mag-boyfriend kami for nine months, in fairness," Sweet frankly admitted in front of the camera and to some of his immediate family members who came to the Broadway Centrum to celebrate his birthday.

Sweet candidly revealed that the cell phone he gave to Jasper as a gift had a tracker which enabled him to locate his boyfriend's whereabouts.

Tapos parang... ‘Anong nangyari dito, ba't ganito, saan siya nanggagaling?' Nalilito ako," said Sweet.

Sweet then confronted his boyfriend. Jasper admitted that he met Boy Abunda and was asking the talent manager-TV host to handle him to fulfill his dream of becoming an actor.

Jasper allegedly asked Sweet to keep their relationship a secret, fearing that Boy would not help him if the latter found out about it.

The move prompted Jasper to ignore Sweet's incessant effort to communicate.

"Tuluyan akong dinedma nitong lalaki na ‘to and again, patuloy ko siyang tina-track. So, sabi ko, paano nangyari ‘yon, anong nangyari?"

Despite his discovery, Sweet believes that Boy Abunda didn't mean any harm and was just being asked by his boyfriend to handle his career.

Apparently, John's boyfriend stalked Boy as much as John had stalked his flame.

"Could you imagine?

Admittedly, Sweet confessed that he became obsessed with the guy and found it hard to move on after the relationship ended ambiguously.

"Na-obsess ako talaga nang bonggang-bongga. To the point na nagpa-psychiatrist na ako. Nagpatulong na ako, parang ‘Ano ba ‘to?' Mukha na kong tanga, 'yung mga naisip ko na ginagawa nila," said Sweet about his paranoia.

But Sweet once again made it clear that there's no rift between him and Boy.

"Nag-usap kami ni Tito Boy at nag-apologize ako at tinanggap niya ang aking apology."

As for his estranged boyfriend, Sweet said that he bumped into him a couple of weeks back.

"Recently, alam ko nagmu-model na siya and he has a new code name. So, last time ko siyang nakita, hindi ako pinansin.
