Move: Billy Idol!

Now that Billy Crawford is back home in the Philippines, he is mesmerizing even our local stars with his dance grooves on the reality show, Move. But more than that, his generosity in sharing his skills is winning everyone's hearts all over again. Text by KC M. Abalos.

Let's hear what Mark Herras, Pauleen Luna, Vaness del Moral, LJ Reyes, Miggy Eugenio have to say!

What is it like working with Billy?

Pauleen Luna: Oh, it's great! I've worked with him in Eat Bulaga and SOP. Para lang siyang taga-dito lang. It doesn't seem like he lives in the States or Europe. He is very grounded that's why sikat eh!

Mark Herras: Nakaka-tense! Pero siyempre nandun 'yung nakaka-taba ng puso na mag-guest ka with Billy Crawford, international artist!

Vaness del Moral: Ok naman. Mabait siya. Kanina lumapit siya and sabi niya, "you guys are really good. You guys dance really well. How long have you been dancing?" Wala ako masabi, mabait siya.

LJ Reyes: Kahapon ko lang siya nakita eh, while we were rehearsing sa network. Tapos kaming 6 na artista nasa kabilang studio. When the music played, malamang nandun na si Billy. Pumunta ako sa studio nila, warm up sila, parang woah...

Actually, ako, kung hindi ako artista, mag- audition ako dito. Kasi mahilig akong magsayaw. Kaya sobrang flattered ako na-invite ako sa show. Si Billy, one of my idols when it comes to dancing kasi parang siyang Justin Timberlake.

Miggy Eugenio: Masarap maka-trabaho kasi kababata ko eh. Dati pa, That's (Entertainment) pa lang. Ngayon parang lumaki lang siya sa isang bansa. Tapos nagtatrabaho na kami. Siyempre idol ko, working hard pa rin. I listen to him. He listens to me. Bigayan kami.

What do you expect from the show, Move?

Pauleen Luna: It's gonna be a big hit! You cannot take it away that Billy- Pinoy's pride yan eh! He's been famous here, in Europe, in the States so definitely maraming nag-iidolize sa kanya. So definitely, maraming Pilipino would want to be his back up dancers. Imagine, maraming dance show na dance show lang, ang dami sumasali. What more kung makasama mo si Billy Crawford?

Mark Herras: Maging successful, kasi first time nangyari ito, reality dance contest, nagahahanap sila ng magagaling na dancer. Hopefully maganda naman maging feedback. At the same time, makikita nila yung mga Pilipino magaling sumayaw.

Vaness del Moral: Magiging successful. Doon sa mga nakapasa sa auditions, congrats! Sa mga hindi nakapasa, good luck din kasi kaya hindi naka-abot, ibig sabihin may better (opportunity) para sa inyo.

LJ Reyes: Actually, I'm very excited for Move, for Billy, for the staff because this will be the first time na gagawa ang GMA ng dance competition. It's very different from StarStruck. Kasi Starstruck is very wholistic eh. Drama, singing, dancing, everything but here, they're concentrating on dancing.

Miggy Eugenio: We're expecting very nice results because Filipino dancers are good. I believe that.
