Jennylyn Mercado's mother speaks up about her daughter's difficult situation at GMA
Mrs. Lydia Mercado, the mother of Jennylyn Mercado talked to the press last August 21. She talked about her appearance at ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Deal or No Deal where Angel Locsin was a contestant.
She says she was there to support Angel, a fellow talent of her
daughter with Becky Aguila's management.
Deal or No Deal's host Kris Aquino greeted the mother of Jennylyn. Kris knows 'Mommy Lydia' since she has worked previously with TV-host actress Jennylyn in a movie 'So Happy Together'.
Kris also mentioned Jennylyn in the game show, she declared that Jennylyn is welcome at ABS-CBN if ever.
THE MEETING. Jennylyn has come back from Hawaii a few days ago but according to her mom, she still does not have any projects with GMA. The first StarStruck winner is also removed from SOP even before she had a meeting with GMA Artist Center.
Jennylyn's mother adds that she was surprised that Jennylyn was crying as she came out of the office. She didn't have the chance to ask her daughter why because there were cameras filming Jennylyn.
No one is certain what transpired inside the office of Ms. Galvante, but there are rumors circulating that the lady executive behaved thus:
Ms. Galvante also reportedly told Jennylyn not to complain if she has
no projects and she should wait until GMA-7 would give her a show.
Wilma Galvante still has no official statement regarding the issue.
UNCERTAIN CAREER. Mommy Lydia is worried about her daughter because she tends to keep her problems to herself.
According to her, "Si Jennylyn talaga kasi ang batang tahimik kahit nasa puso niya ‘yung sama ng loob, sinasarili.
And now, it's happening again.
Sabi nga nila, mas masakit daw ‘yung emotional pain kesa sa pisikal," she declared.
She also gave a message to GMA-7 to keep her daughter's career alive.
She also has this to say to her daughter: "Anak, maghintay-hintay lang tayo.
She's praying that Jennylyn's problem will be given a solution as soon as possible before it's too late.
