Despite her hectic showbiz schedule, fast-rising teen star Iya Villania has consistently managed to prioritize her studies. In fact, for the last two terms, the 4th year AB Psychology major has landed on the Dean’s List at the De La Salle University – a feat quite uncommon to many young showbiz denizens.

The witty and articulate Myx VJ, who has also paid her dues as TV host,

actress, singer and commercial endorser, attributes her scholarly success to effective time management. “It’s really all a matter of prioritizing,” says the stunning Fil-Australian looker.

While not exactly the typical school nerd, Iya displays a keen interest in human behavior and all its related cognitive fields. Clearly, her firm grasp of the subject has made her a more effective speaker and public persona. “I enjoy my majors,” she says, “such as Clinical, Abnormal and Social Psychology.”

Iya is also enrolled at ACSAT, where she plans to pursue her major in Culinary Arts.

One of the busiest teen stars to date, Iya continues her reign as one of the Myx Music Channel’s resident VJs. She also hosts the popular ABS-CBN Sunday noontime show, ‘A.S.A.P.,’ as well as Studio 23’s magazine/lifestyle show ‘Us Girls,” with gal pals Chesca Garcia and Angel Aquino.

Iya is also having a blast hosting ABS-CBN’s ‘U Can Dance,’ together with Derek Ramsey. “I love the energy, I love watching the dancers do their thing, and most of all, I love dan-cing!,” she exclaims.

The alluring Bench endorser has also started taping for ABS-CBN’s forthcoming fantaserye, ‘Lastikman,’ as lead actor Vhong Navarro’s leading lady. She also appears on this month’s cover of Chalk magazine, together with fellow teen star Sam Milby. Iya is currently managed by ALV Talent Circuit.
