Willie Revillame posts bail before QC court


Variety show host Willie Revillame on Tuesday posted bail to prevent an arrest order after he was charged with verbally and emotionally abusing his estranged wife, Floralice “Liz” Almoro.

Revillame appeared before Judge Elsa de Guzman of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 89 and posted P12,000 bail.

Type rest of the post hereDe Guzman on Monday upheld the recommendation of Quezon City Prosecutor Gibson Araulla Jr. for a P12,000 bail for Revillame's temporary liberty.

Araulla filed charges of violations of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 against Revillame last Friday.

Revillame was charged based on a criminal complaint filed by Almoro.

Almoro alleged that Revillame subjected her to humiliation and verbal abuse, and that he engaged in "dirty sexual affairs." She also claims that in May 2006, Revillame tried to hit her with a chair and threw a remote control at her.

Revillame has denied the accusations, claiming that her explosive moods and hurtful tirades made it difficult for him to be a father to their son.
