Wendy Valdez now on ABS-CBN’s primetime soap

Margarita is ABS-CBN’s addition to its roster of drama series on primetime block.

It is topbilled by three young, good-looking and controversial celebrities: Pinoy Big Brother Season 2 third Big Placer Wendy Valdez, PBB2 housemate Bruce Quebral, and Diether Ocampo.

Margarita is about a courageous woman, who at an early age experienced hardships in life. With the tragic death of her mother and her father leaving them for another woman, Margarita was forced to assume responsibility for her

siblings and enter the chaotic world of burlesque showdancing in the red-light district. Margarita vowed to take revenge on her father who abandoned their family, but as she takes on the life of a showgirl, she meets people who will show her that true love erases all hurts, and leaves no room for vengeance. Wendy stars as the seductive showgirl, while Bruce plays the role of the heroine’s loyal best friend who is secretly in love with her, while Diether completes the love triangle as the kind and charming man who shall charm our showgirl.

In Margarita, Wendy and Bruce for the first time will have the chance to work with Ocampo, a competent actor of this generation in by far the biggest break of PBB sweethearts. In a recent interview, Wendy admitted that she has the biggest crush on the hunk-actor. Will her revelation spark jealously and tension for the lovestruck Bruce on the set of their new teleserye?

The names that shall complete the powerhouse cast of ABS-CBN’s new project are veteran and multi-awarded stars Rio Locsin (mother of Margarita), Dick Israel (father of Margarita), Elizabeth Oropesa (stepmom of Margarita), Noni Buencamino (stepfather of Margarita) and Dexter Doria (aunt of Margarita). With them are applauded young stars Joseph Bitangcol (brother of Margarita), John Manalo (stepbrother) and Sharlene San Pedro (stepsister). PBB Celebrity Edition Big Winner Keanna Reeves is Margarita’s friend and mentor.

The geniuses behind this production are headed by Deo Endrinal (overall in charge of production), Rondel Lindayag (creative manager), Julie Ann Benitez (production manager), Rocky Ubana (executive producer), and directors Erick Salud, Trina Dayrit and FM Reyes.
