IN THE past couple of months that she was not busy, Rica Peralejo thought of getting married. Who did she plan to marry? we asked her.

"’Yun ang problema. Wala akong boyfriend. Noon at ngayon," she answered.

But now that she has so many things on her plate, she can hardly entertain thoughts of love. She complains that she cannot even entertain suitors.

"I have a punishing schedule. Yes, everyday, especially on weekdays," she related. "But I love it and I’m not complaining."

She wakes up at two in the morning, Monday to Friday, so she can be at ABS-CBN by four a.m. for the morning show "Umagang Kay Ganda." She is prepped and cued by her director on what she’s supposed to do on the show, which airs at 5:15 until 8:30 a.m.

"Pagkatapos may miting on how we fared in the katatapos na show. Tapos tatakbo na ako sa school," she said.

Rica is enrolled in Creative Writing at the Ateneo University. Most of her classmates are much, much younger than her.

"Linggo-linggo yata, nai-imbitahan ako sa debut. I keep telling them not to invite me dahil parang ‘di na ako bagay, but once in a while pinagbibigyan ko ang imbitasyon not merely because of pakikisama but because I also enjoy talking to them, although madalas what we discuss ay nakaranasan ko na," she said.

"Hello, twenty-six years old na ako," she added.

She knows she will be busier once she starts taping her teleserye, "Pangarap Na Bituin," which also stars Jericho Rosales, Maja Salvador and Sarah Geronimo.

How about films? Is she turning her back on making movies?

"Ito nga ang nakakatawa: my handler asked me if there was a possibility for me to accept a movie offer. Ang hirap. ‘Di lang sa ‘di ko na kaya, pero mahirap isingit sa schedule," she said with a sigh.

Rica is the cast of the currently showing Regal movie, "Tiyanaks."
