Proud to be a Filipino: Charice Pempengco bags a Swedish recording deal

How many Asians do you think can out sing Filipinos? I can think of none, talents wise we are ahead the pack, not to mention our capacity to speak the English language which is a boost to the unforgiving Western media who abhors translators in interviews.
And now, 14-year old Charice Pempengco, finalist of Abs-cbn's Little Big Star has just arrived
fromStockholm, Sweden where she recorded for Ten Songs Production, a record company and extensive talent management based there. It was from the management of the recording outfit that they learned that they saw Charice’s performance in YouTube, alongside with that of Bianca, a finalist of "America’s Got Talent."

Charice said she was only 12 in that video from the YouTube website. She was singing her version of Whitney Houston’s "I Will Always Love You."

"If Charice proves lucky," said Annabelle, "she might hit it not just in Sweden but in the entire United Kingdom. And who knows, US might eventually beckon."

Among the songs which Charice recorded were "I Will Always Love You," "Stay" (a Shakespeare Sisters’ original), "All the Money in the World" (an original song sourced by Charice) and "Running Up That Hill" (a Kate Bush original).

Charice recorded the songs in six days, all done in two to three hours.

Star Records and Ten Songs Productions plan to release Charice’s songs digitally, which is the current trend in the US and UK. Star Records will have its digital release within the year while other hit songs are being developed for her.

I looked for the said video, and I think it's this posted by FalseVoice.

Watch it, the first clip is that of Bianca Ryan and second is of Charice. So who do you think sings better?
