Precious Quigaman: From beauty queen to comedienne

The beauty queen—Precious Lara Quigaman—is now part of ABS-CBN's newest sitcom, That's My Doc. When asked how she agreed to do the show, Lara quipped, "Siyempre it's Aga Muhlach, 'di ba? Who would not want to be paired with Aga Muhlach?"

She added, "And ‘yong cast nga, sina Kuya Dick [Roderick Paulate], ganyan. Sinabi ko naman talaga before na gusto ko talaga na maging part ng isang sitcom. Gusto ko talagang maging comedienne,

lingid sa kaalaman ng marami isa rin talaga ‘yon sa gusto kong gawin."

Two years since winning the Miss International title, the 24-year-old stunner is already being paired with the country's premier actors—first with Bong Revilla in movie Kapag Tumibok ang Puso, Not Once But Twice and now, with Aga.

Lara was linked to the very much-married Bong Revilla during the promo of their movie. Isn't she afraid of also being linked to Aga?

"Posible ‘yon pero siguro hanggang doon lang ‘yon, sa mga hearsay lang... [Tungkol naman kay Bong,] usually naman kasi 'pag dalawang artista, 'pag gumagawa ng pelikula, they are usually linked to each other para siyempre may ingay ‘yong movie and people will get to watch it dahil naku-curious sila or something," she answered candidly.

The beauty queen also said that she knows Aga's wife, Charlene Gonzales.

"We were together in Binibining Pilipinas pa lang. Nagkakasama kami parati 'pag may events ang Binibini. I have high respect for Charlene," she said.

Lara admitted that her love life is not her priority right now. In fact, she has recently put her relationship with her non-showbiz boyfriend on hold.

She clarified, "Walang third party, walang nangyaring kahit ano. Parang he's busy and I'm busy, it's just hard to commit. I'm not saying na tapos na kami, parang we're just giving each other time to do what we need to do. Tutal bata pa naman ako, I'm not planning to get married any time soon."
