No truth to Cesar-Sunshine split -- manager

MANILA, Philippines -- Actor Cesar Montano’s manager Norma Japitana made it clear that there was no truth to rumors that her ward and his wife Sunshine Cruz have separated.

As Cesar remained silent, Norma could only conclude one thing: the actor-director was enraged by the reports.

Hindi naman totoo ‘yan,” Norma told the tabloid newspaper Abante Tonite on Thursday.

Blind items had sprouted on popular entertainment columns on an enduring showbiz marriage headed for splitsville. These blind items had been understood to refer to Cesar and Sunshine, who were facing controversy over news reports that the actor-director was spotted in a Parañaque girlie bar.

Norma denied that Cesar’s sightings in the AirForce One bar was an issue for the couple at all, saying Cesar had proceeded to Bohol after his US trip and arrived in Manila on Tuesday. She stressed Cesar went home to his family.

Tigilan na lang siguro ‘yan,” Norma further said in the Abante Tonite interview with columnist Abu Tilamzik.
