Bogee: Bodie has to prove himself to Gee-Ann
by Ethel Ramos
DOES Beatriz Saw, the grand winner in the recently-concluded "Pinoy Big Brother" (PBB) second season, really come from a poor family? How come she graduated with a degree in Human Resources at the Ateneo de Naga, one of the most expensive educational institutions in Bicol? Bea, Beatriz’ pet name, explained, "Thanks to my parents, who believe that education is the best inheritance they can give their children. Talagang pinaghandaan ng parents ko na mabigyan kami ng magandang education by sending us to good schools."
Bea was working as a Human Resource associate when she decided to join PBB Season 2. She had to resign from her job. But, lately, she learned that the company she used to work for is willing to reinstate her should she decide to go back.
What are her plans now? we asked Bea. "My mind is in a whirl pa," she answered. "Wala pa akong plano right now. All I want to do is to go home (Bao, Camarines Sur, her hometown), so I can thank my kababayan for their support."
What did she think made the public vote for her?
"I have no idea either," she replied with a smile. "In Kuya’s house, I just showed who I really was. But, deep inside me, I fervently hoped I’d win. I wanted the house. Wala kasi kaming sariling bahay. Palipat-lipat kami, kung minsan, we had no choice but to live with relatives."
Aside from a house, Bea also won a car, a kitchen showcase, a Crystal Water franchise and a trip to several European cities.

Actually, except for Gee Ann, who is taking up a course in advertising at the Assumption College in Makati, the rest of the Big Four, plus Bodie, son of actor Tirso Cruz III and the last housemate to be evicted, are college graduates.
Mickey, the second placer who hails from Switzerland, is a commerce graduate from HVA and Didac in Bern (Switzerland). He was an ESS AP Analyst, EB International before he joined PBB Season 2.
"My dream of putting up a dance school in Switzerland and here in the Philippines was what made me decide to try my luck as a housemate in PBB season 2," revealed Mickey, who has already won several dancing competitions in Switzerland. He was a model also of several dance jeans and shoe brands.
Half-Austrian and half-Filipino, Mickey is a product of a broken home. His father left his mom when he was still a kid. Whatever fatherly memory he has is courtesy of his stepfather.
Inside Big Brother’s house, Mickey developed a special fondness for Gee-Ann. A love triangle developed when Bodie entered the picture.

No one can beat the controversies Wendy generated when she re-entered Kuya’s house through the "balikbahay" stunt. She caused the viewers of PBB to hate her when she picked a fight with Gee-Ann and Bea. As the clash among the three housemates escalated, barbs, usually coming from Wendy, were thrown. The housemates left inside Big Brother’s house had no choice but to take sides.
But through Big Brother’s intercession, the three girls finally reconciled.
The audience not only taunted Wendy; they also booed her. Wendy humbly apologized to the audience.
A commercial model and singer by profession, Wendy, while inside Kuya’s house, was awarded her diploma in Bachelor of Arts and Communication by her alma mater, Far Eastern University.

Bodie, 21, confessed he has yet to have a girlfriend. A certified homebody, his friends are mostly members of his family. Mom Lyn is his buddy. Father Pipo (pet name of Tirso Cruz III) is his pal. Sister Djanin is his best friend.
A BS Computer Science, Major in Information Technology graduate from the De La Salle University, Bodie was working as a software designer for a multi-national company when he decided to line up for the PBB audition. He is a "Pinoy Big Brother" addict, he admitted. And it has been his dream to experience what goes on inside Kuya’s house.
"I wasn’t a risk taker before," he revealed. "But after PBB, I don’t think there’s any challenge or risk I would avoid. My stay in Kuya’s house taught me a lot."
He admitted that he really likes Gee-Ann, whom he describes as mabait and simple. He plans to court her. And if he wins her heart, then, for the first time, he can proudly say, "May girlfriend na ako."
And what has Gee-Ann got to say to this? "Maganda naman ang impression ko kay Bodie. But he has to prove that he is really the ‘Piolo Pascual of my life’," Gee-Ann answered.
