KC Concepcion is fresh from her Paris education, and now she would like to visit her father, former matinee idol Gabby Concepcion, in America more frequently than before.

"We plan to see each other every year. So hopefully, in the next couple of months puwede na po kami magkita ulit. May plano po talaga akong bumalik to go and see him in California," shared KC last night, September 10, at the press conference of her upcoming TV special for ABS-CBN titled KC From Paris to Pinas, which will be shown on September 23.

KC's intial plan was to visit her father, who she fondly calls "Papa" immediately once she returned from Paris. But her work and other commitments got in the way.

"Pagbalik ko ho dito [sa Pilipinas], talagang medyo na-excite ako sa trabaho and halos araw-araw ‘yong trabaho ko. Hopefully, makahanap ako ng konting time. Gusto ko right away," she said.

She would love to convince her father to come home even for a short vacation. However, KC said that she doesn't want to interfere with Gabby's work, especially now that his career is experiencing an upswing.

"Hindi ko ika-career na i-encourage siya na bumalik dito. But for now, nakikita ko ang buhay niya dun sa California, napaka-successful po niya. One of the top ten realtors po siya in all of California. And recently po, nakuha niya ‘yong lisensya niya to open his own company. Napaka-successful po niya doon sa ginagawa n'ya, so I don't feel na I should encourage his return," explained KC.

KC also had the chance to meet her father's partner last year during the rare visit.

"She's very decent and very kind, very welcoming, very warm. Gumaan po yung loob ko once na nakilala ko siya and siya pa po ‘yong nagbi-video sa aming mag-ama. Kaya talaga po napakalaking blessing. Pilipina ho siya," she eagerly told the press people.

Prior to KC's visit, the father-daughter hasn't seen each other for ten years.

LOYAL DAUGHTER The daughter of Megastar Sharon Cuneta insisted that despite agreeing to do a one-night TV special, it doesn't mean that she's finally trying her hands into full-time acting.

She got petrified even more when asked if she'll be willing to remake some of her mother's memorable earlier blockbuster hits.

"Hindi ko po kaya gawin ‘yon!" she gushed.

KC reasoned out, "Kahit po anong sabihin natin, Sharon Cuneta po siya and I don't think anyone should remake any of the movies. There can only be one. Maybe they can borrow the concept."

She was caught off-guard when told that younger stars were already reviving some of her mom's movies.

"Intriga na ‘yan ha!" smiled KC. She, however, defended her strong devotion and loyalty to her mother.

"I really admire my mother and kung meron mang mag-remake nun, hopefully successful sila. But I really think there can only be one Sharon Cuneta. It depends on what their motive is. If it's to make a new Sharon Cuneta, then that won't work," she said frankly.
