Richard needs a break

After ruling the primetime block with such teleseryes as "Mulawin," "Captain Barbell," "Sugo" and more recently, "Lupin," Richard Gutierrez feels he needs a break. "Lupin" is wrapping up this month, that’s why Richard has already asked permission from his GMA 7 bosses if he can take a much-needed break, before he starts taping for his next teleserye.

However, Richard cannot afford to have a really long vacation because he has to start

taping for his next TV assignment, "Kamandag," which will require rigid physical activities. Richard will have to undergo military combat training. That’s why as soon as he gets back from his brief vacation, Richard will have to start training for his next TV project.

Richard also has an upcoming movie to shoot. In "Dagao," jointly produced by GMA Films and Dondon Monteverde, Richard will get to work for the first time with the multi-awarded Chito Roño, who will direct the movie.

The 23-year-old Richard hasn’t slowed down a bit since he started doing primetime series on GMA 7. He is busier than ever, doing films, starring in teleseryes and endorsing products.
