John Estrada's new GF is Brazilian beauty queen

Controversial actor John Estrada admitted that he is indeed going steady with Miss Earth 2004 Priscilla Meirelles.

"We've been together for almost two months," John revealed to Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist Dolly Anne Carvajal.

"I like her because, even if she's Brazilian, her

attitude is like that of a Pinay and she's very understanding. That's important to me kasi madaming intriga sa showbiz so it's good that she can handle that. She has met my kids and they get along well."

Priscilla is the former girlfriend of model-TV host Marc Nelson .

John and Priscilla are often spotted together though reporters are hard pressed to solicit any comments from John owing to his refusal to grant interviews lately, avoiding questions about the "kisscandal" involving him and actress Gretchen Barretto.

At the birthday party of talent manager Douglas Quijano, held last July 25 at the Greenhills residence of Richard Gomez and wife Lucy Torres-Gomez, John arrived together with Priscilla. They were said to be looking very much like a happy couple.

Gretchen and John never bumped into each other during the celebration, thanks mainly to a well-orchestrated plan hatched by the celebrant to avoid any tension. Reports said that John and his girlfriend arrived 30 minutes after Gretchen had left the party.
