Remarkable Mark

EVERYONE knows Mark Bautista’s worth as a performer. But probably, no one realized just how truly remarkable he is until his recent solo concert, ReMARKable, presented by Le Froge at Club 0.

Identified for so long with fellow champions, that night was Mark’s alone. It was his time to shine.

Mark’s audience that night included Regine Velasquez, Piolo Pascual, Carlo Aquino, Erik Santos, Sam Milby, Say Alonzo, Brad Murdoch, Beth Tamayo, Ricardo Cepeda, designer Avel Bacudio, Ricky Lee, directors Ruel Bayani, Don Cuaresma and Bb. Joyce Bernal.

The highlight of the show was his soulful rendition of Every Now and Then from his album of the same title under Viva Records.

The album, Mark’s third for Viva, contains remakes of his favorite songs from the ’70s and ’80s and is currently topping sales charts at major record stores nationwide.

Guest performers that evening included Yeng Constantino and Rachelle Ann Go.

But the biggest surprise was when Regine (who, incidentally, hosted Star for a Night when Mark placed runner-up to Sarah Geronimo) came onstage to do a duet with Mark of With You, I’m Born Again.

Mark ended the show with his version of Break it to Me Gently, carrier single of his new album.

Mark resumes his mall tours this month to promote Every Now and Then.

He will be at SM Batangas on July 29.

Mark will also be guesting in Sarah Geronimo’s Araneta Coliseum concert, Sarah in Motion, on July 14. He will also be leaving for a U.S. tour come August.

ReMARKable was produced by Viva Concerts and Le Froge, of which Mark is the new celebrity endorser.
