Reading Wendy

There’s no doubt housemate Wendy is the most beautiful among the Pinoy Big Brother Season 2 housemates, projecting a certain air which is the “thick” kind. I saw this when she was presented to the media with Bea, Mickey, Gee-ann and Bodie. She is not a warm person, is kind of self-absorbed. Among the housemates, she is the most experienced and this shows in her mindset. Having started from the pit of the entertainment biz, going through amateur singing and beauty contest stints, and “strike-anywhere” hosting, she developed an “I’m-better-than-you” attitude as a psychological defense, having achieved a certain degree of success. She qualified in the top 20 of Pinoy Dream Academy but was rejected in the final 12. This developed a survivor attitude she frequently manifests by throwing her weight around. Strongly imprinted in her psyche is the impression that she’s a loser, so she has to fight and defend herself. As to be expected, many misunderstand her and find this attitude offensive.
