One of these days, Pops Fernandez promises to tackle unanswered questions about failed marriage with Martin

Pops Fernandez on Sunday promised to disclose what happened to her relationship with estranged husband Martin Nievera "one of these days" to clear things up. The singer also said she was not ready to have a baby with boyfriend Jomari Yllana.

"Maybe one of these days since tapos na naman siyang lahat. Para lang siguro walang malaking question. maybe one of these days masasabi ko na talaga kung ano ba

talaga ang nangyari," Pops told John Lapus in an interview with GMA’s Showbiz Central.

The singer said many people did not understand her when she refused to speak up but said she kept mum to protect Ram and Robin, her children with Martin.

Martin and Pops recently had a word war in print and over television over the "monkeys" remark of Nieverra's girlfriend Katrina Ojeda on the two sons of the estranged couple.

"Dati nga hindi ako nagsishare kasi nga akala ko pinoprotektahan ko yung anak ko. Ang feeling ko tuloy hindi maintindihan ng mga tao kung saan ako nanggagaling at hindi nga nila ever maiintindihan dahil me malaking portion sa buhay ko na hindi talaga nila nalaman," Pops said.

"Nine years ago madami akong nalaman na hindi niyo nalaman. Hahaha! Madami yun. One of these days magugulat na lang kayo para kasi siguro matapos na," she added.

Pops said she had hoped that the issue would not be blown up.

"But, unfortunately or fortunately, I don’t know what it is, I don’t know what the right word to use is for now...He is Martin and I am Pops and lalong-lalo na syempre noong araw we were the tandem to beat, we were the husband and wife to beat, we were the team to beat so kaya siguro siya napakalaki at lumaki at it ended up the way it is now," she said.

Meanwhile, Pops said she was not ready to have a baby with boyfriend Jomari Yllana.

“So kung mangyayari (to have a baby), why not, pero kung magkakaroon ako ngayon na ipaplano namin parang baka hindi ko masyado ma-focus yung attention ko dun sa dalawa kong anak," she said.

The singer noted that she and Jomari have not yet discussed having a baby.

“Ang dami ko pang responsibilities. I’m helping my family tapos at the end of the day syempre yung dalawang anak ko gusto ko…gusto ko kung ano yung meron ako ngayon I wanna give them the best," she said.

Pops added that she wanted Robin, her eldest son, to finish college first before she would entertain plans of having another child.

She expressed hope that with new technology, if the time comes when she decides to have a baby with Jomari, she could still have one even if she is older.

The singer added that people have been asking her plans of having a baby because Martin Nieverra already has one with girlfriend Katrina.
