Gerald Anderson denies being kicked out of 'Gokada Go!'

It seems that earlier reports of Gerald leaving Gokada Go! are true. Allegedly he criticized Director Edgar "Bobot" Mortiz' way of work in the taping of the show. And now it's confirmed that he's now out of the show and according to Gerald Anderson, his stay in Gokado Go! is really only up to six episodes. But if you're a viewer of the show, at the start he and Kim Chiu are the lead characters, so what gives?

Here's the conversation he had with PEP:
"Ah hindi---six episodes lang ang usapan ng Star Magic at Gokada Go!
"Sa akin, hindi ko po talaga alam

kung bakit six months lang. Sila po ang nag-meeting doon. Sa akin po, gusto ko 'yung show, this is a show away from
drama. Pero 'yon po talaga ang usapan."

Does he have ill-feelings with his removal from the show?
"Hindi naman po masama ang loob ko, pero parang sayang. 'Tsaka okay naman. Nakaka-miss din 'yung show, sobra!" he said.

But is it true that he said Direk Bobot's way of directing (the show)takes too long?
"Hindi ko po talaga matandaan kung kailan or kung saan ko 'yon sinabi. Pero kung si Direk Bobot ang nagsabi na
sinabi ko talaga...I never meant it para ma-offend siya. Mataas po ang respeto ko kay Direk Bobot bilang isang direktor
at bilang isang artista din," he explains.

Did he apologize to Direk Bobot?
"Naghahanap ako ng paraan para makausap siya," Gerald said. "Hindi pa po ako nakakapag-apologize sa kanya
kasi kararating lang namin from the States dahil nag-show po kami doon. May nagsabi po sa akin bago ako
umalis, pero nandun yung gulat factor. Parang hindi ako naniniwala. Sobrang bait po kasi ni Direk Bobot.

Actually, nag-dinner pa kami, siya po ang nagbayad sa dinner namin kaya nagulat
po ako. Pero gaya ng sabi ninyo, si Direk Bobot na mismo ang nagsabi.
Actually, akalo ko kwento-kwento lang. Doon po ako talagang 'Uy, may ginawa
pala talaga ako.' Siguro na-mistunderstood po or something. Pero ayun po, parang hindi ko kayang
magsalita ng ganun para ma-offend si Direk Bobot."

What a coincidence that after the issue between him and Director Bobot, he's now removed from the show.

Is there no renewal in his contract with Gokada Go?

"Hindi ko po kasi alam kung ano ang usapan nila. Ako, sumusunod lang ako sa mga schedules ko. Sila ang
nagsasabi sa akin. "All I can say is talagang sorry po. Hindi ko po sinasadya para ma-offend po kita (Direk Bobot). Sorry po talaga," Gerald said as a message to Direk Bobot.

What's the lesson he learned in this?
"Dapat maging maingat," he said. "Kasi parang dapat be cautious sa mga sinasabi mo and always respect 'yung mga co-workers mo, co-actors, director, PA, lahat-lahat. Sorry po talaga."
