An afternoon with Quentin Tarantino

The 9th Cinemanila International Film Festival has a program highlighted by award-winning films, glitzy Embassy Nights and significant seminars and workshops. Within this already spectacular schedule of events, the 11th of August promises to be a true treat for all friends of Cinemanila.

Dubbed as "Grindhouse Day," it will provide fans with the opportunity to listen to and interact with internationally renowned filmmaker Quentin Tarantino ("Reservoir Dogs," "Pulp Fiction," "Kill Bill"). Mr. Tarantino will be

giving a special Directing Workshop open to Delegate Pass Holders, at the Gateway Cineplex 10 Cinema 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. At 6 in the evening, sponsors, guests and other friends of Cinemanila will enjoy a special dinner with Tarantino at the Gateway Mall Oasis.

The 9th Cinemanila International Film Festival will have its run from August 8 to 19 at Gateway Mall Cineplex 10 in Araneta Center, Quezon City, and from August 17 to 19 in Boracay Island. The CIFF is organized jointly by the Independent Cinema Association of the Philippines (ICAP), the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and a specially commissioned inter-agency committee, with Major Partners: The Office of the President the Department of Tourism, CinemaOne and Gateway Cineplex 10; Gold Sponsors: Manila Bulletin, Philippine Airlines and Web Philippines, Inc.; Festival Sponsor: ClicktheCity; Event Sponsors: Asian Spirit and Boysen Paints.
