Marvin: Don’t judge Angel

MANILA, Philippines -- Marvin Agustin is fast becoming Angel Locsin’s staunch defender.

After GMA-7 entertainment boss Wilma Galvante debunked speculations that the network’s prized actress had turned out to be an “ingrate,” “monster” and “arrogant,” here came Marvin, who spoke lengthily on the subject.

“Honestly, nalulungkot ako sa lahat ng naglalabasan. Sana naman, huwag natin i-judge yung tao just because may naging desisyon siya,” Marvin said in a press conference for the upcoming GMA-7 sinenovela “Mga Mata ni Anghelita.”

Angel and Marvin are currently co-stars in the GMA-7 series “Asian Treasures.” The two have been rumored to share a special relationship off-screen.

According to Marvin, Angel’s choice to take a respite from her showbiz projects and instead concentrate on pursuing a fashion course in London was a wise move and should be emulated.

“Mag-aaral po yung tao sa London. Hindi naman po siya basta magpapahinga lang o magbabakasyon. Dapat pa nga natin siyang ipagmalaki dahil isa siyang magandang ehemplo hindi lang sa mga kabataan kundi maging sa matatanda,” Marvin stressed.

People should not take Angel’s choice against her because education is important and would help her even beyond showbiz. He revealed he would also study a course in July.

“Edukasyon yan eh. Bawat artista o bawat tao, gustong makapag-aral. Alam natin ‘yan. Actually ako, mag-aaral ako this coming July. Huwag naman nating ipagkait sa kanya ‘yun. This is for Angel’s future,” Marvin said.
