Dingdong Dantes Will Potray Sergio's Character In GMA-7's Marimar

While the main actress for the role Marimar is still open to women since it was originally offered to Angel Locsion who turned it down, the male lead role is reportedly Dindong Dantes and he seems to have accepted the daunting task of giving justice to Sergio, originally played by Eduardo Capetillio opposite Thalia.
To date, the Kapuso network is still holding an audition for the leading lady of the iconic show.
I wonder if Pinoys are excited to see a Filipino version of Marimar which opened the doors for Spanish telenovelas to our main entertainment scene.
