Lupin Easter Sunday Presentation: A Sneak Preview
Note: Sorry for the crappy photos, I just used my cellphone to take them ^_^
I hope iGMA.tv will upload these ones on their site.
I'm so pumped up to finally see Lupin tomorrow, having just watched the sneak preview, I'm pretty sure this show will be a blast. Richard Gutierrez said it best, he said Lupin is internationally well known but this one will have a Filipino flair. He'll finally have a role that is human, a diversion from his superhero characters in the past. He also said that he himself did the action stunts. Plus Janno Gibbs is so funny opposite Richard, I think GMA did a good job of casting Janno as Senior Inspector Clavio Angeles. Plus some trivia, Richard actually shopped for suits he used on this show during his previous vacation in New York. His hair's cut and styling alone costs 100,000 pesos, which he says some of which came out of his pocket.
From what I've gathered, GMA really prepared and spent a lot of money for this show, one of the executives interviewed said they where very particular about everything from the locations, the clothes, gadgets etc. The cost incurred so far is equal to those they've previously spent on their fantasy series. I think it's also good news that the Director Mike Tuviera insisted on realism of scenes, and less on fantasy.
Also, Janno Gibbs was actually noted for his eagerness on Lupin shootings who's notorious for his late arrivals on his other gigs because apparently he really liked his character from the script and the fact that he was given freedom to portray his role whichever way he wants. Hmmm, I hope Lupin will really be that good!
