Katrina Halili admits she auditioned for Marimar, knew she won't get it

KATRINA Halili admits she auditioned for “Marimar,” but says she was only “forced” to do it. “Alam ko naman na hindi ako makukuha, pero sabi sa akin ng handler ko, mag-audition ako, so go ako,” she relates at the press launch for “Marimar” Tuesday night at GMA7’s Studio 3.

The lavish presentation for new star Marian Rivera would turn any hopeful yellow,

but Katrina says she knew her time to shine may not be in the near future yet.

“Masaya naman ako sa takbo ng career ko,” she says.

“Hindi naman ako pinababayaan ng GMA7. In fact, dahil sobrang busy ako, ayoko na munang mag-boyfriend.” Meanwhile, Katrina was alluded to as the “pinakamalupit” among comedian Boy2 Quizon “conquests.” She vehemently denied it, but defended Boy2 at the same time. “Hindi ako naniniwala na sinabi ni Boy2 ‘yun,” she says.

It was in blogs and emails that a certain young comedian, described as “bad influence” who brings and uses prohibited drugs on the set, was bragging about his sexual conquests, and allegedly, Katrina was among them. Obviously, the blind item was meant to point to Boy2, and while no one can stand up to name him, we still consider it black propaganda.

Back to Katrina, when we told her that she cannot blame people for considering her as sex object (“She’s like a walking p..k..” says one gay reporter), she wailed: “Wag naman. Baka ma-rape ako.”
